Mojave Production’s ‘The Desert Said Dance’ depicts one team's arduous journey to and through the Baja 1000, a story of struggle and triumph set against a harsh and beautiful desert backdrop. Although equally intriguing it's fair to say this monumental challenge stood in stark contrast to our rooftop party held at the Deus mansion in the Pinheiros neighbourhood of São Paulo in celebration of the film.
On the contrary, there was delicious barbeque and cocktails-a-plenty from chef Dário Costa, all enjoyed in the comfort of custom-made beach chairs provided by Heineken for maximum movie-going pleasure. The screening event was one stop on the world tour of The Desert Said Dance presented by Deus Ex Machina in conjunction with Monster Children. After the credits rolled the night kicked into high gear with live rock, blues, soul and hip-hop. If the desert wanted dancing then it got it as 300 partygoers with a passion for two wheels enjoyed more than a few ice-cold beers and even more lush tunes on the leafy roof of the Deus Mansion.
